Technical Issues and Troubleshooting

Welcome to the Azyrah Technical Issues and Troubleshooting guide. This page provides solutions to common errors and problems that may arise when starting the game or during gameplay. Follow the steps below to resolve your issues quickly.

DLL Errors

MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140.dll Missing

OR

  • Cause: These errors occur when the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable package is not installed or is corrupted.
  • Solution:
  1. Download and install the x86 version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable from this link.
  2. Alternatively, locate the installer in the client’s folder under Azyrah/Resources and run it.
  3. Restart your computer after installation.

DirectX Errors

  • Cause: DirectX is either not installed or missing certain components.
  • Solution:
  1. Download and install DirectX from this link.
  2. Alternatively, use the installer in the client’s folder under Azyrah/Resources.
  3. Restart your computer after installation.


Compatibility Mode Error

  • Issue: Running the game in compatibility mode causes errors.
  • Solution:
  1. Right-click AzyrahPatcher.exe and select Properties.
  2. Navigate to the Compatibility tab.
  3. Uncheck "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and click OK.

Antivirus Exclusions

  • Issue: Errors with files like cshield.dll caused by antivirus interference.
  • Solution: To add the Azyrah folder as an exclusion in Windows Defender:
  1. Open Windows Security by pressing Windows key + I and navigating to Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.
  2. Under Virus & threat protection settings, click Manage settings.
  3. Scroll down to Exclusions and click Add or remove exclusions.
  4. Click Add an exclusion, choose Folder, and select the Azyrah folder.
  5. Confirm your selection.

Corrupted Windows Files

  • Issue: Certain Windows files are corrupted, leading to game issues.
  • Solution:
  1. Open Command Prompt (cmd) with administrator privileges.
  2. Enter the following command: sfc /scannow and press ENTER. Wait for the verification to complete.
  3. Run the following command: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and press ENTER.
  4. Restart your computer.

Client Crashes or Performance Issues

  • Solutions:
  1. Move the Azyrah folder:
    1. Relocate the folder to a directory like C:/games to avoid permissions issues.
  2. Antivirus Exception:
    1. Add the Azyrah folder as an exclusion in your antivirus software.
  3. Internet and PC Performance:
    1. Restart your router and close unnecessary programs running in the background.
  4. Clear Cache Data:
    1. Download the AzyrahClean.bat file or locate it in the Azyrah folder.
    2. Run the file every 3-4 days to clear cache data and improve performance.
