General information
The horse is a much faster mode of transportation than walking. Starting at level 25, you can take on the horse quest at the Stable Boy. If you succeed and have the necessary funds, you’ll soon be able to call a loyal steed your own.
In addition to horses, there are many other mounts that can be obtained through events or purchased in the item shop.
Food
The horse must be fed from time to time, otherwise it will die. How often a horse needs to be fed depends on the level of the horse. The lower the level of the horse, the more often it needs to be fed. Different kinds of horses require different types of food:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Icon | Food | Horse Type | Origin |
|---|---|---|---|
Reviving a dead Horse
The horse will die if you do not feed it when needed. If the horse is dead, you can revive it by using a specific herb. The herb needed is dependant on the kind of horse. These herbs are dropped by the Ape Boss in Hasun Dong, Jungsun Dong or Sangsun Dong. You have to go to the Stable Boy to use the herb to revive your horse. Depending on the kind of horse, you will need the following herb to revive it::
| Icon | Herb type | Horse Type | Origin |
|---|---|---|---|
Handbook for Horse Care
When you click on your horse, a handbook for horse care opens. In this handbook, you can do the following:
- Feed: Feed your horse a piece of the required food.
- Mount: Ride your horse.
- Send Away: Send your horse away.
- View Condition: Check your horse's strength and stamina in %.
- Name Your Horse: Use horse sugar to give your horse a name.
- Do Nothing: Close the window.
Combinations of keys
You can use these combinations of keys in connection with the horse:
[Ctrl]+ B -> sends the horse away
[Ctrl]+ F -> feeds the horse
[Ctrl]+ H or [Ctrl] + G -> (dis)mount your horse
Type of Horse`s
There are 5 different kinds of horses:
Pony

You can also ride a horse before level 25. You can get a Riding Ticket from quests, hunting missions or buy it from the market place. With a Horse Riding Ticket, you can get a Pony at the Stable boy, and ride it for 10 minutes, however only once an hour. It should be noted If you dismount from the Pony before the 10 minute, it will disappear also.
Beginner horse
![]() without Guild |
![]() with Guild |
![]() as Guild-Leader |
The beginner horse is the simpelest horse. You can ride it, but you cannot use it for attacking or use special attacks. Obviously your horse needs food, so you can feed it with
Hay. On the upper left side of your screen you can see a symbol. This will tell you if your horse is hungry (by the color, i.e amber for hungry, red for starving) and for how long you can ride it, untill it needs rest (when hovering your mouse over the symbol, you will see a percentage).
Combat horse
![]() without Guild |
![]() mit Gilde |
![]() als Leader |
The combat horse is the advanced horse. You can use this horse in fights, but you cannot use any special attacks. The horse needs food, and you can feed it with
Carrot`s. On the upper left side of your screen you can see a symbol. This will tell you if your horse is hungry (by the color, i.e amber for hungry, red for starving) and for how long you can ride it, untill it needs rest (when hovering your mouse over the symbol, you will see a percentage).
Military horse
![]() without Guild |
![]() with Gilde |
![]() as Guild-Leader |
The Military horse is the professional horse. You can use it in fights, and use special attacks. Some of these attacks are character and weapon specific, i.e Ninjas have Arrow Storm, however this skill is different when equipped with daggers/swords. The horse needs food, and you can feed it with
Red Ginseng. On the upper left side of your screen you can see a symbol. This will tell you if your horse is hungry (by the color, i.e amber for hungry, red for starving) and for how long you can ride it, untill it needs rest (when hovering your mouse over the symbol, you will see a percentage).
The following skills can be learned, by reading Horse Riding Manuals:
- Horseback Slash (from level 50): Ride a horse and attack the enemies.
- Horse Stump (from level 52): Smash all enemies in the proximity.
- Power Wave [from level 55): attack all enemies from your horse.
- Arrow Storm: Shoot several arrows at your opponents! (only for Ninjas from lvl 50)
Mighty Warhorse
![]() without Guild and with Guild |
![]() as Guild-Leader |
With the Mighty Warhorse, your Sung Ma Will on Yohara increases while riding. Of course, your horse needs food, so you must feed it
Red Ginseng (Premium).
Pay attention to the symbol in the upper left corner of your screen. It indicates whether your horse is hungry and how much longer you can ride before the horse needs to rest.
Horsequest

To obtain a horse, you must take a
Horse Medal to the Stable Boy and click on the Horse Information button. Then, you need to complete the beginner horse quest and wait a few hours before receiving the horse icon, which allows you to summon your horse.
To level up the horse, you must complete horse quests or intermediary quests, which are also available from the Stable Boy. After receiving the beginner horse, you need to talk to the Stable Boy manually to start additional quests. For each quest, you must have a
Horse Medal in your inventory.
Upon successfully completing a horse quest, the
Horse Medal is removed from your inventory. However, if the quest fails—provided you haven't dismounted, died, or teleported the
Horse Medal remains in your inventory, allowing you to retry the quest immediately.
Caution:
A horse book (Horse Icon, Weapon Horse Book, or Military Horse Book) alone is not sufficient. You must first complete the corresponding authorization quest, which allows you to ride a beginner, combat, or military horse.
If you happen to lose your horse book, you can purchase a new one from the Stable Boy.
Normal Horse
| Requirements: | 100.000 Yang |

| Beginner Horse Quest: | |
| Horse Summon Item: |
- If you have a
Horse Medal, you can go to the Stable Boy to receive the beginner horse quest. - Click the button: "Horse Information". The Stable Boy will then ask if you want a horse. Accept the quest. Now you must complete the Beginner Horse Quest.
- Note: **St. Wild Archers** do not count.
- The task can be completed much more easily if you talk to the Stable Boy at Map2, as the path to the monsters you need to kill will be much shorter.
- Only archers you personally kill count for the quest.
- Archers from the Metin of Jealousy count as well, provided you hit them once before the Metin stone is destroyed.
- Once you successfully complete the quest, return to the Stable Boy and report back.
- Next, the Stable Boy will prepare a riding license, or a Horse Icon, which will take some time. Typically, this takes not 24 hours, but 12 to 14 hours.
- When the task scroll informs you that the riding license is ready, visit the Stable Boy again.
- For 100.000 Yang, you can now acquire the
Horse Icon. - You can now summon your horse by clicking on the
Horse Icon. Initially, the chance to successfully summon the horse is 10%, but this can be increased using the Horse Taming Handbook.

- Archers from the Metin of Shadows count for the quest if you have dealt damage to them. This also applies to Metin stones in the Valley of Seungryong.
- Once the quest is completed, return to the Stable Boy and report back. The Stable Boy will now craft the Combat Horse Bookfor you. This usually takes between 8 and 14 hours.
When the Combat Horse Book is ready, a task scroll will appear, informing you that you can now pick it up (cost: 500,000 Yang).
The Combat Horse Book functions in the same way as the Horse Icon.

- Once you have completed the quest, return to the Stable Boy and report back. The Stable Boy will then tell you that he needs to craft the Military Horse Book, but it will take one day to complete.
- You must wait until a task scroll appears on the left side of the window, informing you that the Military Horse Book is ready. Normally, this takes between 12 to 24 hours.
- The Stable Boy sells the Military Horse Book for 1,000,000 Yang, and in addition, he will give you a Horse Riding Manuals as a gift. The Military Horse Book works just like the Combat Horse Book.
- Once the quest is completed, go to the Stable Boy and report back. The Stable Boy will craft the Military Horse Book for you. This usually takes between 12 and 24 hours.

Status Value Changes at Different Horse Levels
The following table shows the status changes at different horse levels. This list contains the values you will have when:
- You have the corresponding horse level,
- No skill points have been assigned,
- No active skills are in use,
- No effects are active (such as potions, buffs, etc.).
Your character’s level is irrelevant. Only the conditions mentioned above need to be met.
(Note: As the actual table is not provided in the text, if you would like, I can generate a general example for you based on these conditions.)
